Wayne Friesen, MA, RSW

Registered Social Worker & Psychotherapist

Life is challenging and can have many hard moments and seasons, and we have a limited ability to get ourselves unstuck on our own. We all need someone to be with us during painful, confusing, and upsetting times so that we’re not alone. Together we can face emotions, thoughts, memories and circumstances, which can lead to transformation.

EXPERIENCE:

Wayne is a Registered Social Worker supporting individuals and couples.  Wayne graduated in 2009 from Providence Seminary with a Master’s Degree in Counselling and he is also a Registered Social Worker. Wayne has worked with a wide variety of people in various settings.  Wayne has the ability to welcome all emotions, thoughts and experiences, helping his clients feel at ease very quickly. Whether the focus is anxiety, depression, trauma recovery, recovery from grief and loss, or any other concern, Wayne brings a highly skilled and compassionate perspective.

Wayne also has a keen interest in addressing blocks to reaching the next level of performance, be it in the arts, athletics, business, or personal achievement. In addition, Wayne loves to walk with people who are feeling like life has taken unexpected, uninvited turns (often in the mid-30’s to mid-40’s). Wayne provides couples therapy, helping couples explore solutions to cyclical problems. Wayne also enjoys applying the wisdom the Enneagram offers for personal transformation.  Wayne is able to offer faith-integrated therapy for individuals and couples that request this.
